In the beginning of the 19th century, Veneto was under foreign rule, it was in this period that Giuseppe Fossaluzza began cultivating grapes, turning the first grapes recently imported from France into wine. The cultivation of grapes and the making of wine was abandoned due to the two World Wars and was later resumed by Pietro Fossaluzza after hostilities ceased.

This work that was carried out with great passion and sacrifice was then passed on to the son Giovanni who built up and extended the vineyards and started selling his wine to the public therefore changing a small wine producing family business into a nation-wide wine producing company. Now the company, run by Gianni, sells its products in Europe, Asia and North America with new markets opening up all the time.

Located in Saletto di Piave, in the Veneto region of North East Italy,  there are now sixty five acres of Fossaluzza Giovanni & Sons' D.O.C. vineyards. There are also many vineyards in the area whose grapes are grown solely for us. Each of these vineyards is under 10 year contracts to us thus guaranteeing consistency.

There are a wide range of wines available, as throughout time, the most suitable vines characteristic of the land were planted, including  Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Raboso, Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, and Prosecco.  We currently produce our standard range of wines which are aimed at the everyday consumer and are sold in various retail outlets and our Classico Reserve range of wines which is aimed at hotels, restaurants and the more discerning wine consumer.

Our wine cellars allow us to process the white grapes at a controlled temperature and obtain wine using the particular cold type cryo-maceration method. The red grapes undergo traditional maceration methods and are kept with the skins until the colour and aroma are suitable for ageing. Fossaluzza Wines has invested heavily in the latest technology thus being able to guarantee consistency and the quality of their products.

During the course of 2007, Fossaluzza Wines invested in the latest production & bottling technology thus can further guarantee the quality and consistency of its products. During 2008 we have seen consistent growth and have a positive sales forecast for 2009. This has helped Fossaluzza Wines to invest and expand its production facilities and ensures that we are able to produce high quality products at competitive prices.
